Claire Goldsmith is a consultant and strategic advisor specializing in educational innovation, with particular expertise at the intersection of education and technology. Since founding Lamplight Education in 2022, she has partnered with independent schools, education-focused non-profits, and technology companies on both long-term strategic engagements and high-impact presentations and workshops.

Claire's consulting work spans AI strategy and implementation, strategic planning, organizational transitions, and online learning. Recent clients include independent schools from Waterford School (UT) to University School of Nashville (TN); Para Los Niños, a Los Angeles charter school network and social services organization; and Bay Area BlendEd, an online learning consortium. Most recently, Claire led the merger of the Enrollment Management Association (EMA) and Educational Records Bureau (ERB)—two global membership organizations serving independent schools—serving as Chief Integration Strategist to unite the organizations into a single entity.

As a sought-after speaker and thought leader, Claire has presented on AI in education, smartphone policies, and innovation at venues including the Wall Street Journal's Tech Live Conference, Common Sense Media, the National Association of Independent Schools, and the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools. Before launching Lamplight Education, Claire served as Executive Director of the Malone Schools Online Network (MSON) from 2016-2022, where she expanded the national consortium, led professional development for teachers nationwide during the COVID-19 pandemic, and created innovative programming. She helped develop MSON while serving in leadership at Stanford Online High School, ultimately as Director of Admissions and External Relations, where she oversaw enrollment growth and managed the school's $5 million scholarship endowment. Claire began her career teaching English and French and coaching debate at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles.

Claire serves on multiple boards and advisory councils, including as Vice President of the Board of Trustees at Wilshire Boulevard Temple (where she chairs the Education and School Governance Committee), Trustee at The Winsor School (her alma mater, where she co-chairs the board's Equity Committee), and member of advisory councils at Stanford Online High School and Geffen Academy of UCLA. She previously served as Board Chair of the Enrollment Management Association from 2023-2024.

Claire holds an A.B. magna cum laude with highest honors in History and Literature from Harvard College and a master's degree in Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies from Stanford Graduate School of Education.
